My Approach

Taking the time to care for yourself is not easy.
Believing that you deserve compassion and grace can be so hard.
I’m here to help you take the time to nourish your inner world and create space for healing and growth.
HOW I CAN SUPPORT YOU

Parenthood

"I don’t know what’s more exhausting about parenting: the getting up early, or acting like you know what you’re doing." -Jim Gaffigan

Parenthood—whether you're pregnant, a first-time parent, a seasoned caregiver, or considering starting a family—can feel isolating. In a world of "momfluencers" and curated social media feeds, it’s easy to fall into the comparison trap, feeling like the only one who’s struggling, anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure.

The arrival of a baby can also bring unexpected feelings of loss—loss of self, identity, or the comfort of routine. These emotions, including regret or grief, are more common than you might think and don’t make you a bad parent.

As your therapist, I’ll provide a supportive space to navigate the challenges of parenthood, helping you process the complexities of this journey and feel more confident and connected in your role.

Pregnancy Loss & Infertility

"Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says, ‘I’ll try again tomorrow." -Mary Anne Radmacher

The journey through infertility and pregnancy loss can be isolating, overwhelming, and filled with complex emotions.  Pregnancy loss can leave you mourning both what was and what could have been. Infertility can bring grief, uncertainty, and a loneliness that's hard to put into words.

You may be grieving the loss of a dream, struggling with uncertainty, or wondering if it’s safe to hope again. These experiences often bring feelings of loneliness, even when surrounded by others. It can be hard to access self-compassion and grace. You deserve support and a safe, judgment-free space to process whatever you may be feeling.

In our work together, I will provide compassionate support as we navigate the grief, uncertainty, and emotions you carry, creating space for healing and the possibility of renewed hope.

Body Image

"Positive body image isn’t believing your body looks good; it is knowing your body is good, regardless of how it looks." -Lindsay & Lexie Kite, More Than a Body: Your Body is an Instrument, Not an Ornament

I am deeply committed to size-inclusive therapy and providing a welcoming, non-judgmental space to explore body image, societal pressures, and self-acceptance.

While concerns around body image often intensify during the perinatal stage, many grapple with these issues long before or after motherhood due to the pervasive influence of diet culture. Together, we’ll work toward honoring your body’s strength and resilience.

I align with the Health at Every Size (HAES) approach, which emphasizes that weight is not an accurate measure of health. I advocate for body acceptance and understand how cultural standards around size can contribute to disordered eating and body image struggles.
